The idea of a "journey" often leads us to think that our psychic and spiritual development has a beginning, middle, and end. Through psychological narrative, selections from T.S. Eliot’s “The Four Quartets,” arias and art songs, and a dynamic Powerpoint presentation of art (drawn most prominently from the alchemical text Splendor Solis), we will begin to form an image of the pilgrim's journey as the archetypal mode of development and transformation. The Soul's Trip: The Journey that is Not a Journey Ronald Schenk, PhD, Jungian analyst, is currently in private practice in Dallas and Houston, and his interests are in
clinical thought, cultural psychology, post-modernism, and the interface of the arts with depth psychology. A senior
training analyst and President of the Council of North American Societies of Jungian Analysis, he has written four
books, most recently American Soul, and several essays in Jungian publications.
